Cupple version update

Disruption to Service

We woke this morning to discover an issue with our server that in turn is affecting the service and not allowing people to send messages and share using Cupple. We are working tirelessly to fix this issue and don’t take this kind of disruption lightly. Sorry for any inconvenience. We are working on the fixes and doing as much as we can to get up and running again. Thank you for your patience. Tim

Bright, Hungry & Foolish? This you?

We’re looking to hire a Community Manager to handle and cultivate our presence online through social media and smartly executed PR. You should have a good idea of what this role means without us having to explain in detail all the ways you can tell a story these days. You will be in charge of growing the product through social media and importantly building relationships with media outlets where appropriate. We’re not too concerned where you’re physically situated as we’re more interested in your enthusiasm, ideas and desire to get things done. Cupple is a growing start up in an exciting space. Update 2.1.1.

We have a new version update 2.1.1. now available in the App Store. The main fixes are around devices that were running pre IOS 5 as some of you were experiencing issues. Cupple in SXSW…Day 1 & a bit.  So much to cover in the blog post that I’ve been promising myself I would write for the last 12 hours. Here are a few bullets of the XP so far:  Flight was 10 hours in total and Cpt said it was the worst winds he’d seen over the Atlantic in 18 years. Get the picture? Travelled by Greyhound from DFW to Austin, it was cheap and totally fine to travel on. $40. 3 hours.  The queue to register took me an hour at 11am on the Friday AM. 2 hours after this the queue was 3/4x the length. Get in early.  You will be overwhelmed by the size and the atmosphere (in a good way - but it does take a day to adjust) I forgot my Mac charger. Mistake. I asked someone in the corridor to borrow theirs and sat with them talking for an hour; they were Shopify.  It’s raining a lot.  I spoke to Ev Cohen from Foursquare and he gave me 2 names for people in marketing I should speak to about Cupple.  Eric Ries is a very competent public speaker.  Have an early night on the first night. So, so glad I went to bed last night.  This is the single best ‘conference experience’ I’ve ever been to.  Talk to people. Get your new website up just in time www.cupple.mobi  Don’t spend all the time on your laptop writing blog posts… Speak soon, Tim.

50 Best of British Apps -

The Mobile World Congress show kicks off in Barcelona today, and to celebrate this ‘The Appside’ published a free report called Best of British Apps, in association with UKTI and the ICT Knowledge Transfer Network.

It highlights 50 innovative apps developed and/or published by UK companies in recent times: not a definitive best-ever list, but more a snapshot of the kind of apps that are being produced here in the UK.

We’re really proud to be included in the 50.

We’ve had a great week at Cupple HQ. Featured by Gizmodo as App of the Day on Valentines Day and also shipping our new version which will be with you very soon. What's App With That? Mobile Devices and the State of Love -
