Happy to see Cupple featured today in New Media Now.
Last week we were in the wonderful city of Copenhagen. The reason for this was to get out and meet some of the people involved in the start up scene. Talk to people about what they were working on and get some scandinavian feedback on Cupple. Copenhagen is quick becoming an emerging area for start ups, this was highlighted in an article by TNW earlier in the year
We had a great time meeting some of the people from Founders House including the guys at Evertale who are working on a web and mobile platform that collects a ‘lifetime of memories.’ We had a great chat with Co Founder and CEO, Francesco Patarnello who showed us Evertale in action. There was real synergy of focus around the creation of content-with-a-meaning and the best places to put it. Keep your eyes open for Evertale and check out what they are up to.
It’s not every morning you get a guided tour of the city’s waterline whilst talking about all things tech, mobile and Twitter. That’s exactly what the morning was like when we had the pleasure of meeting with Natasha Friis Saxberg - speaker, author, CEO and Co Founder of Gignal. Natasha is working on a ton of interesting stuff and it was great to show her Cupple and get some feedback on how we can build networks within Denmark.
The week was a real success and I’d like to say thanks to all the people who took the time out of their day and made a difference to the trip.
Some other highlights included:
- Getting to know the Bus Driver of the 6A (after 25 journeys on it)
- Ristet Hotdogs x5 (with crunchy onions)
- Halifax Burgers (a must)
- Cafe Alma (Hygge)
- Norse Projects (Clobber)
And loads of other stuff including a wander around ‘Your Rainbow Panorama’ when we went down to Arhus.
Denmark - I’m a big fan and we’ll see you soon.
